Alain BADIOU – DRIFT FESTIVAL 2019

Alain Badiou is a French philosopher, formerly chair of Philosophy at the Ecole normale superieure (ENS) and founder of the faculty of Philosophy of the Universite de Paris VIII with Gilles Deleuze, Michel Foucault and Jean-Francois Lyotard. For this lecture, he will elaborate on his conceptions of being, truth, event, the subject, and their interrelations.
After his lecture, professor Badiou will be interviewed by Dolf van der Schoot. Van der Schoot currently teaches Ethics at TU Eindhoven, and is writing his PhD-thesis at the Hochschule für Gestaltung (Karlsruhe, Germany) and the European Graduate School (Saas-Fee, Switzerland)
