Ze componeert akoestische en elektronische muziek waarin computerprogrammering, de theorie van &#8216;reine stemming\u2019 en algoritmische en probabilistische compositietechnieken samenkomen. Haar bewust abstracte werken worden versterkt door een conceptuele reflectie in de musicologie, die niet alleen is gebaseerd op akkoorden, maar ook op een historisch perspectief op klanken, instrumenten en toonaarden. Ze beschouwt haar muziek als een &#8216;ervaring die gedeeld moet worden&#8217; en die als uitnodiging dient voor muzikanten die ernaar willen luisteren en ermee kunnen spelen.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Residentieproject<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In het kader van het Nouveau Grand Tour NL-programma verbleef Lucie Nezri als artist in residence bij het Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (8 juli tot 2 augustus 2024). Tijdens deze periode richt ze zich op een nieuw onderzoeksgebied naar traditionele Arabo-Andalusische muziek. Dit initiatief komt niet alleen voort uit haar liefde voor muziek, maar houdt ook verband met haar identiteit. Ze heeft Algerijnse en Marokkaanse roots en wijdt een deel van haar onderzoek aan het in kaart brengen van de rijke stamboom van haar familie. Haar onderzoek resulteerde in een compositie van dertig minuten die door het Kali Ensemble werd vertolkt.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img
